If not done this step, explorer can't see the drive.Ībove manager can not see the drive, then use Device manager. Then disk manager is next, go there, and give it a drive letter. (or drive is dead but I test the drive on other PCs so know it is not dead.) The next thing I do with USB connected, is listen to side of case for the motor inside to spin, if silent that means the USB port is dead. Then on your unstated PC try all USB ports, some crummy old laptops have only 100mA of current on USB ports and fail to run the motor with weak power like that. So in windows world of PCs we have internet working firstĪnd then plug and play can actually work.(function). But no PC stated, and posted to computers not TV nor Cell phones.
